Lullaby Swim School

$50.00

As parents of children with autism are well aware, one of the leading causes of death amongst this population is accidental drowning. One study states that children with autism are 160 times as likely to die from drowning as the general pediatric population.

The Lullaby Swim School was created and developed by licensed occupational therapists at Lullaby Waters in Boise, Idaho, providing one-on-one swimming instruction to the special needs community at a private facility.

The six-step program was initially created for children with autism, but its foundational principles and building blocks are also beneficial for other diagnoses and typically-developing children.

Comfort -> Flow -> Breath -> Balance -> Rhythm -> Movement

The Lullaby Swim School was designed for children up to eight years old, and the one-on-one interaction at a private facility provides a calm, peaceful environment for gaining confidence and comfortability in and around water.

Peace = Progress

FAQs

What if my kiddo is stuck at a particular level?
It is important that specific goals are achieved at each level before advancing through the program. Some kiddos will go through the entire program in six sessions, whereas others may require additional lessons at a given level.

Communication between instructor and parent(s) will be continuous and there should not be any surprises regarding advancement between levels. Additionally, we invite parents to be part of the lessons so they are witnessing progress made at each level, thus giving them direct knowledge of where their child is on their journey.

At the conclusion of each session, families will receive a report card with goals for each level, denoting whether each has been achieved.

Is this reimbursable by insurance?
Although the program was designed by occupational therapists, Lullaby Swim School is not occupational therapy, and as such does not accept insurance.

However, having been architected by licensed occupational therapists, the program’s foundation incorporates and addresses concerns that one might expect when working with children with a wide range of diagnoses, including autism, Down syndrome and more.

What if I have to miss a week?
Lullaby Swim School is designed to be completed in successive sessions, building on achieved goals week-by-week. However, if you need to miss a week, we understand and will absolutely accommodate.

However, a no-show – a missed lesson with no notice – will not be refunded.
